Sources say that Maruti Suzuki India, despite playing a game of wait and see, is preparing to launch a revised version Maruti 800. Although changes in the engine out, theexterior could get a new perspective. And some additional features could bethrown at the current price (R 1.97 lakh ex-showroom Delhi) for customers to think twice before opting for the cheaper competition.<br />
But the key is how the position and will be decided after the new Tata car hits the road. Without sacrificing the flagship Maruti 800 in the entry-level segment, the company, according to sources, could also use their retail secondhand business - Maruti True Value - to compete in the segment R 1 lakh. &#8220;There may be more discounts and special offers from real value once the 1-lakh segment opens,&#8221; said one source. Tata nano &#8220;that&#8221; take over the Maruti 800? The issue is making its rounds since Ratan Tata announced his dream of developing a draft of RS 1 lakh car. Many have answered the question in terms of Maruti&#8217;s track record and the highest degree of comfort provided in the car is surprisingly Nano. The debate continues and the election is now in the hands of users to make a final verdict on the nanometer scale. However, the nano can beat the pride of the Indian middle class that rejects many products that tried to bet big on the price?<br />
True, the Tata Nano was a great so far and people are eagerly waiting to see the car on the roads. But most of the Indian middle class prefer to have a nano, which is being positioned as a cheaper and better car? Only time can answer the question.
