HONDA CITY ZX
The City has been around for a long •time and despite challenges from new comers, it is the highest sellerin this segment. Although it’s had a faceliftt it’s hard to call it good-look-ing but that has not affected its pop-ularityirity as the cabin offers lots of pas-senger comfort and fine fit and finish. It’s powered by 1.5 engines including a VTEC, and both, especially the latter, are smooth, willing and fuel-efficient. Gear selection is easy and the ride quality is amongst the best in this segment. But this is at the cost ofhandling and high-speed stability. The electronic power steering is highly over-assisted and does not offer adequate feedback at high speeds and the braking is also not quite up there with modulation being a little difficult. And it costs more than its rivals. But then it wears the Honda badge and as its makers have learnt, Indians have a lot of faith and respect for this brand and are willing to pay a premium.
