BMW 3 SERIES
With assembly in India now, prices are competitive visavis its direct rivals. The reardriven chassis is wonderfully wellbalanced, incisive and decidedly sporty and the weighty steering gives superb feedback. But the ride is firm perhaps a little too firm for Indian sensibilitiesand may put off some buyers. Of the two petrols on offer the 2.5 six is the one to go for as the smaller four is not that lively. The diesel also makes a lot of sense other than saving on running costs the 320d is surprisingly quick and sporty.
