HEVROLET CAPTIVA

Another good product from GM’s South Korean base, though with the American badging of Chevrolet, the Captiva is a very capable soft-roader that is a direct rival to Honda’s CR-V. Though dimensionally similar to the CR-V, the packaging is better with seating for seven and an interiĀor that is very well-appointed. The 147bhp 2.0-litre common rail diesel, though wanting in tractability, is impressive in terms of performance and running costs, but the five-speed manual is the weak point - it’s clunky and recalcitrant.
